Customer experiences
I’m Thao Mäkelä, a Valvira‑licensed podiatrist educated in Finland. My foundation in healthcare comes from more than seven years as a practical nurse, with a focus on geriatric and long‑term care. This experience informs my careful, holistic approach to foot and lower‑limb well-being.
My work centers on preventive podiatry, diabetic foot management, and musculoskeletal assessment for older adults. I aim to provide treatment that is precise, ethical, and respectful of each person’s unique needs.
I have completed clinical training across several multidisciplinary environments, including Hymykylä clinic in Metropolia University of Applied Science, Suursuo Hospital, Meilahti Tower Hospital’s Endocrinology Clinic, and Pihlajalinna Pikku Huopalahti Hospital.
I currently practice at Sundem in Pasila and at the EJT Wellness Center in Viherlaakso.
